The Integrated Vulnerability Capacity Assessment (IVCA) was carried out in two communities last week by the ENB Branch volunteers. The main Facilitator from Oro Branch, Mr. Newby Cuthbert was sent to the Branch to facilitate the IVCA under peer-to-peer support arrangement. Fresh IVCA in Mandress Community in the Inland Baining LLG, Gazelle District, and a two days refresher at Malaguna No.2 in the Balanataman LLG, Rabaul District.
Each community will soon have their own Disaster Risk Reduction Plan from the assessment which should assist them to know their own vulnerabilities so as to find ways to mitigate them, respond to or withstand disasters should they occur, or for everyday resilience building for themselves and their community.
Teachers and Students from the PNG RCS Inclusive Education Resource Center at Hohola were delighted to have the staff from KPMG Papua New Guinea come and spend the day at the school. As part of their Corporate Social Responsibility, the staff from KPMG did some clean-up before engaging with the students for a Sharing session.
Our dedicated volunteers from the NCD and Central Branch were present as always to lend a hand.
Thank You KPMG Papua New Guinea for Visiting IERC!!
